Daisy Goodwin is a television producer, writer and founder of Silver River Productions.  A Cambridge graduate and Harkness Scholar, Daisy began her TV career as an Arts Producer at the BBC.  Here Daisy devised many highly successful shows, including Bookworm, The Nation’s Favourite Poems, Looking Good and Home Front.
 
In 1998 Daisy moved to Talkback Productions as Head of Factual and was quickly promoted to Editorial Director. The four BAFTA nominated shows The Apprentice, House Doctor, Jamie’s Kitchen and Grand Designs as well as How Clean Is Your House?, Would Like to Meet and Your Money Or Your Life are all the product of Daisy’s pioneering mind.
 
Daisy founded Silver River Productions in 2005 and she has executive produced programmes like Pulling, The Supersizers Eat…and the BAFTA-winning Off By Heart. 
 
In addition to this, Daisy is a mother of two and editor of numerous poetry anthologies and a regular columnist in the Sunday Times.  Daisy’s family biography Silver River was published in 2007 and her first novel, My Last Duchess, will be published by Hodder Headline in the summer of 2010.  Daisy is also 2010’s Chair of the Orange Prize judging committee.
