Daisy Goodwin’s Midas touch has created a string of contemporary television’s best loved shows.
Starting as an Arts Producer at the BBC, Daisy devised the highly successful shows Bookworm, The Nation’s Favourite Poems, Looking Good and Home Front. In 1998 Daisy moved to Talkback Productions as Head of Factual, quickly being promoted to Editorial Director. The three BAFTA nominated shows House Doctor, Jamie’s Kitchen and Grand Designs as well as the hugely captivating How Clean Is Your House?, Would Like to Meet and Your Money Or Your Life are all the product of Daisy’s pioneering mind.
How Clean Is Your House? now in its third series on Channel 4 in the UK, is one of FremantleMedia’s most travelled factual entertainment series. The grime-busting entertainment series has been sold in 16 territories, including Australia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Malaysia, Thailand, Ukraine and Iceland.
Property Ladder, the hands-on, no-nonsense advice show for novice property developers, has also become a success with viewers in the US. Discovery Network’s TLC American version attracts an audience 30% higher than TLC’s slot average. It will shortly be shown in New Zealand and Australia.
The Sex Inspectors has been sold to Netherlands and Austria, HBO in the US, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Belgium.
In addition to this, Daisy is a mother of two and editor of numerous poetry anthologies, including the bestseller 101 Poems That Could Save Your Life. Daisy has also presented the BBC2 production of Essential Poems (To Fall In Love With) followed by Essential Byron, Essential Poems for Britain and Essential Poems for Christmas.
