17 million Brits seek sun, sea and sand in Spain every year, but when it comes to food they’re served an endless stream of soggy paella, sangria, even full English breakfasts on the beach. Last year award winning chef Thomasina Miers and writer and adventurer Guy Grieve travelled across Britain to prove that wild food really can be gourmet food. This time they’ve packed up their paella pans and headed south to lift the lid on Europe’s best kept culinary secret. Their journey will take them on a 2000 mile food pilgrimage, unearthing mouth-watering regional cooking and breath- taking landscapes. This series will offer a truly alternative guide to Spanish cooking.
